Sony Bravia Commercial

02 Jun

The commercial was very interesting and, should we say, colorful.  I loved the message of the commercial, but I did not now the purpose until the very end.  I guess the whole intent of the commercial was just that.  To take you away from the ordinary bland commercials of today with great sale pitches to a world were picture, quality and color mean everything.  “Color like non other” was the message at the end of the commercial, and it really sparked an interest in me.  The way that we are bombarded today by various messages in different commercials is astounding.  We have sex thrown our face.  We have adventure shoved down our throats.  We have human pleasure and desire beat into our minds every time the sitcom or drama takes a breather.  The way that we are drawn to a magnitude of merchandise, ways of living, and mental patterns is by the substances we see on television.  It was nice to see for once a pure, clear, and yet comical depiction of a sales pitch.  The commercial had to use no profane language, no half naked girls, no hot sports car to get the point across that the merchandise that they are selling is of high quality.  Today as a whole, we are pushed through society to go for what we want and what makes us feel good. A pitch that is centered around something as pure as happiness and something as childlike as bouncy balls is quite refreshing.
